OK, so I am not new here. I have a lot of know how through these forums and through experience. The problem I have is that I "popped" 2 coils in the last 2 days. I have never done that with my 32 Kanthal (not sub ohms) Started building with 30 Kanthal (not Sub ohm) and cotton and blew 2 in 2 days. Could it be bad wire or something else? Specs are Vmax with phoenix dripper at about 1.5ohms, Stacked Efest 350s, as this is all it will take. Has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for all you help

Typically when a coil pops it's because of a hot spot, which is because of a short from somewhere on the coil to ground. Ground is the deck and the cap in a dripper. The center post is positive. This is assuming the battery is in with the positive end on the 510 connector as it should be.

I really doubt it could be bad wire. I would make sure the coil is not touching the deck under it or the cap when you put it on. As long as you keep the coil and wick wet with juice it should never pop unless there is a short. Also if there is a short you probably got a burnt hit from it.

Hope this helps.
