Ok, so I removed the wicks from my 510 (don't worry I drip) after I had used it for a bit then let it sit out for a day or two while I tried another flavor/atty. Hooked it to the battery, pressed the button, just for a split second, and I heard a distinct popping sound. I wasn't trying to dry burn it or anything, just press it for a split second and let go.
Does that popping sound mean anything bad possibly? I was under the impression that you can dry burn at least a few seconds before you do any damage to your atty. I've heard of the coil "popping" but I'm fuzzy as to what that means exactly.
I dripped a couple drops of e-juice and it seemed to work great. But I'm worried about the popping noise. So, I'm just worried about any damage I could've done and the possible dangers associated with that so I don't just go on continuing to use it in ignorance.
