I am speechless, and almost in tears right now.
I was in chat, I think it was just yesterday.. Tuesday. Complaining about how my son dropped my ego case in the fish tank. All 3 of my spare eGo PT's took a swim and I was down to one. As luck would have it, I was vaping a new one. I'm also facing a minor financial crisis and was offered an FS eGo kit by CarrieM. I graciously declined. My financial issues come and go, and I knew that Sam would let me use his or buy a new one if it came to a point that I had nothing. After a bit of nudging and insisting that I was OKAY, the topic was dropped and I was left all that more thankful for the people of the group.
Now, my mail gets delivered to the front porch. Obviously. I was not expecting anything to arrive today. My friend who is visiting brought us our mail and that was that. It wasn't until 1am, when I went to check and make sure the back door was locked, that I saw the package at the top of my steps - a neighbor brought it up for me but never knocked to let me know that it was there.
It was addressed from a Karen I had no idea who sent it or what it could be. I'm opening it thinking "Hope it isn't anthrax"
Well it was not anthrax. It was a full and gorgeous FS eGo kit complete with 10 cartomizers and if I'm not mistaken two stainless dual coil cartomizers as well as an atomizer and charger.
Carrie, I'm floored. Everyone needs to know that you are AMAZING for what you've done for me. A huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders knowing that I have a fall-back now.
I would have been fine without the help, but I just can't tell you how lovely it is to have gotten some, I've put up this wall between me and allowing myself to accept gifts anymore because I just feel so lucky lately for all that I do have. I'd forgotten how awesome it is to receive something that is so dearly needed. Thanks for breaking through the wall, and thanks to whomever gave her my address

as a side note - please, put the dropped pts in a bag of rice for a week or so. there's a VERY good chance they will be fine ....

I've already done that but I'm pretty sure they were in there for a good hour. He dumped food in there first, which clouded the tank, then he dumped some toys and my PTs as well os ome other odds and ends in there later, we didn't notice. All nine of our fish died too, so they were in there with dead fish. I had no choice but to WASH them, and then put them in rice. We shall see, but I'm thinking they are goners.
Rinse really well, then dry with rice and/or in front of a fan, several days. You would be amazed at how well a lot of things come back to life after an unintentional soak.
