I received some new boge 510 LR cartos and the first one I filled tasted horribly burnt. Nothing like the juice that was in it. I've used quite a few with no probs, so I don't know the symptoms of a bad one other than it not working. It gets very hot within just a few seconds of use, nothing like any of the other ones I've used. I filled a second one from the same box and its working fine. Is this a sign of a short/bad one. I know it was not dry. Wasted my favorite juice on it too

How do you fill them? If your just drippign into the top it will take some time for the juice to settle and if you dont wait long enough you can get that gross burnt taste.
Thats why I highly recommend you use a syringe to fill cartos. It is extremely easy and much quicker than any other method. It will not waste juice and will ensure they are filled correctly

It is a known problem discovered a few weeks ago. At first we thought it was from a particular vendor, but that ended up not being true. Just have to buy light for the moment

I ordered from CCV. All the ones in my first order were fine and I've only tried two out of this order. The only difference is I ordered stainless steel this time versus black. I know that should make no difference. As far as my fill method, I drip and spin until I get about 25-30 drops in. Is there a thread about this issue?

While browsing the forums here, I'm noticing more and more posts concerning Boge carto issues. A lot of member here think Boge changed suppliers for their cartos.

I've been sticking with these and have been pretty happy thus far.

EDIT: Post #1617 mentions issues with Boge cartos. There are several member who chime in as well.

Seems like I've avoided this to this point. Is there any way to tell pre-fill if a Boge is bad.

Also, have any vendors commented on the situation?

I recently ordered 15 Boges and 30 Resurrectors from CCV, and all I've used so far have been fine.

I'm no expert, but maybe if you had a voltage/resistance tester? I know the Provari has one built in. I've also see a few you can attach to your mod to read the voltage and resistance.

It seems that the problem persists...I have just received 2 packs of Boge LR cartos, 3 out of 10 were DOA.
They do say 510D on the box - it seems that all of them do.
I have also received 1 pack of standard resistance Boge and they are fine.
I have contacted the vendor and I am waiting for their response - they do have a DOA policy on cartomizers.
