A battery capacity tester would be useful for testing the health (capacity in mAh) of our batteries. I was searching ebay today to see if there was anything interesting (and cheap - well, cheaper than a few new batteries) and found this little module that could make the main component of such a tester, given a few DIY skills. If an 18650 battery was connected to the input, and a load was connected to the output, the battery capacity would be displayed in mAh as the battery discharges. It could also be used in-line with a charger to measure the mAh's put back into the battery during charging.

Here's a link to the ebay item or just search "OLED USB Charger Capacity" on ebay.

Just food for thought. It's a DIY idea, as opposed to a commercial ready-made capacity tester. I ordered 2 modules to experiment with. If this has been covered elsewhere, I apologize, and I would be interested in a link. I test other type batteries at work most days, so was looking for something small and cheap that might work at home to check the capacity of my 18490 batteries (I have 10 of them).

ETA - maybe I should have put this in the modding forum, dunno, unsure where it belongs
