Greetings!

Got a question for you guys. I’ve been using a Kanger Subtank Mini since I started vaping in 2015. Since this tank is getting harder and harder to find, I was thinking of a replacement.

What tank do you think would give a similar vape?

1. Kanger Protank 4
2. Ammit (first model)
3. Ammit MTL

My apologies if I’ve posted this question before.

What about the tank is getting harder to find? The SSOCC round coils are still compatible... I'm also finding the tanks all over eBay...

Are you using the RBA? If so, diving into something like the Ammit MTL might be worth your while. If not, neither of the other tanks suggested are going to work for you, and I'd lean towards the Subtank 4 or the Subtank Mini C/Protank 5 (Kanger™ Subtank Mini-C Tank / Protank 5 - Vapor Authority)

I have a similar Kanger tank I got in 2016 and although my favourite brick and mortar shop has stopped selling the drop in coils their online store has the 0.5 Claptons in stock consistently.

Aside from the kanger trademark of minor leakage from the airflow it's a nice setup, I still use it semi regularly

The authentic Subtanks are getting scarse. I ordered one off eBay, knowing it was a clone, and while initially it vaped fairly well, the poorly made 510 connector damaged one of my mods, messing up the threads and deforming the mod’s connecting pin. Thank gosh it was a mod that I got on clearance from the local vape shop.

Yes I’m using the RBA. Greatest invention since sliced bread. LOL
Say, in your reply you said ‘Subtank 4’. Did you mean Protank 4? I know that tank is almost as dated as the Subtank, but it appeals to me.

...which means you’re likely finding clones.
eBay and Amazon are the two least reliable places to buy vape gear. Because vape gear is considered illegal on those sites you are not protected by any company policies. Also they are the easiest way to get counterfeits into the United States so the places tend to be stuffed with them.
Got anything else?

Yeah, I am aware... I also know that the Kanger Subtank wasn't exactly rocket science... I've had no issues with any of mine... Authentic or eBay.

Thanks for all the replies! They are VERY helpful, and I appreciate them. Have a great vapin’ weekend!
I am a Kanger fan and still have a top tank mini in my rotation. I also have a protank 4 which I like and even a Neebox. They all take the rba piece so you can build yourself and sort of future proof yourself that way. Fasttech has authentic rba's and I ordered two of the authentic base pieces just in case plus i Have extra glass too.

I do not like the protank 5 - that was supposed to be the successor to the toptank and stm. It vapes nicely but it does not take the rba piece and is a tiny capacity tank. I kept mine and it is barely used with a small supply of the drop in coils just in case but do not use it.

When I first moved up from the stm I used the Digiflavor Fuji genesis GTA tank. It was the easiest tank in the world to build. Just tighten the coils in on each side - put the cotton through and tuck it in on the sides - that's it and it held over 6 ml of liquid. I still have mine!

You can't go wrong with the Innokin Zenith tank. Great taste, easy fill, large ml capacity. Also the coils last much longer than any other out there.

The Ammit's are both rebuildable attys so unless you want to get into rebuilding I wouldn't recommend them. If you are then I would recommend the Kayfun Prime or a Kayfun Prime clone for the same price of the Ammit. Even the clones work just as good. The SXK Kayfun clone is a great tank. I have both the Kayfun and a SXK clone and can't tell the difference between the two.
