Hey everyone!

So I'm a little new to the vape world. I've been using an Ecto kit I bought from a local smoke shop.
It is the Ecto T8 with a 1100 mah battery kit and bdc coils.

I noticed that whenever I replace the coils, it doesn't hit as great, and since I'm new to this, I can't really pin point what the issue is.
I feel like when I hit it now, it doesn't feel as smooth and kinda makes a weird sound that I didn't hear with the original coil. I'm using Ecto e-liquid as well and filled all the way. From time to time, it will gargle a little and start to leak into the battery where it screws in.
I took a little video to show you guys how it sounds when I hit it, so let me know if you guys have any ideas!

What do you mean by priming the coils?

I think the coil might be the issue. I just changed it back to the stock one and did a comparison. I noticed with the stock one, it felt a lot smoother. With the coil I'm using in the video (linked in the original post) that it almost sounds like it has a bit of a whistle when hitting. It's almost like there is an air leak with that replacement coil if that makes any sense?

What my local vapor shop told me to do with new coils was to basically inhale for 20 secs or do 3-5 inhales while NOT using the battery. Doing this will bring the juice into the coil saturating it, otherwise it will be dry, destroying coils.

Thanks for the advice! I assume that I flooded one of my coils because it ended up leaking. Can that coil still be used? What would need to be done in order to use it still?

I flooded my very first coil (Kanger), I put it back in the package as I had nowhere to dispose of it (dried out a bit). Forgot about it for a week, then decided to give it a try again. I noticed no difference from a brand new coil, worked good as new.

To fix a flooded atomizer take your tank off the battery and blow through the mouthpiece (with a paper towel under it). This will drain the extra eliquid.

When you inhale, take a long smooth draw vs a short sharp draw. This will prevent extra eliquid from being pulled into your coils and flooding it. Inhalation technique with an e-cigarette

Whenever you first sense that your atomizer is beginning to flood try this:
1. Open up the airflow so when you take a hit you are not pulling in as much juice into your coils (if your tank has airflow control) .
2. Raise your voltage or wattage if your battery allows you to do this. This will vaporize more eliquid.
3. Tip your battery up (and take a few hits). By tipping it up you will prevent more eliquid from being fed into the coils.

Give one or all of these a try.:)
