I think that is nice to have all the possible success setups in one place, so I made this schematic ...I would like to make a poll with this (to have a better "view") but I saw that the polls are in another subforum at ECF, so I posted here.
Its useful to post your mm of wire with Ohm@Volt setup with the number of the schematic ..
e.g. No.8 : 0.2 at 1.2@3.7

**thanks to ManniGfaltig and e-kapnisma.gr for their thoughts :)

I agree with you Valsacar ..It could be better but I am a Greek :)

I have tried the No.5 but with the iatty ...This is one of my favorites :)

I'd be interested in your results, and how you did it... I know there is a thread around here somewhere for doing it with the iAtty. I've been using DCC in my UFS for a while and really like it, when the full Ody comes out I'd like to do the same. Right now I use one of my Ody on my Stealth as a backup, so I doubt the battery could handle doing it (well could, but probably wouldn't last too long).

I'm running the doubled wick in the diagram #2 that came with my Ody but using just 2 small strands of the XC-116 twisted in the other wick, prety decent vape, ;looking forward to trying a piece of oxidized SS Mesh next and maybe a combo of Mesh and wick too, you've done good job Imeo.

I thought I was doing fine with a single strand, but decided to try the loop in the middle (so there are 3 layers of wick in the resistance area). I'm vaping on it now and like it significantly more than the single wick. Better flavor and vapor.

I can only wrap the wire 2.5 times, which I thought might be an issue, but the coverage area is the same, I suppose. Regardless, I like it a lot.

If I want more res,I got to add rows of res wire (tighter, harder, nightmare)?

for more resistance, you need either a different gauge of wire or a longer length of resistance wire (which would give you more wraps). My DC setup meters at 1.1 ohms with 2 full wraps and with a little finagling there definitely would be room in there for another wrap or two on the coil, though it would be a tight fit.

I made a dual coil, higher resistance though, very tightly coiled. I attached a pic of an early attempt before I decided to go with longer res wires. Look at a cisco for example, much tighter coils in terms of spacing, I've had some difficulty with not enough juice flow(as soon as a wick gets brown I can taste it, the pic's of a lot of the wicks on here after use fill me with horror, I am not normally a fussy person, I've smoked the cheapest rough cut tobacco without noticing, but for some reason a burnt taste in an atty has just the right off taste to trigger a bad response. Dual coil is on hold until I get more wick. I'm looking at different options(I'd like some kiln dried XC-116 to try but don't know where to get it, and wonder a little about the safety, I've breathed diamond dust and done damage that way, so I'm cautious about ceramics too). I see so many options available in different places, as soon as I can get more flow I'll go back to it I think.

I ran into trouble on my last single coil one, coils too close together causing a short that was giving me a burnt taste. I always do it with a small piece of extra wick, as per the HD ecigz review video.

The best tool I found is a small dentist pick, it has just the right angle so that I can hold a coil I'm winding in my hands, and evenly space the coils with it. I'm not really understanding the alternative windings though, wick outside especially, does that mean wrapping around the coil or what?
also the 4 pronged one, where does the extra wick go?
