I must admit this all baffles the crap out of me, inside the wire, outside the wire, 2x, 3x, -- man, I'll have a few of the darned things and no clue how to use them......I'd say I need videos but I can't watch them to any extent -- could people start adding pictures of these different coils? They're worth a thousand words.......:)

The doubling takes place at the top only, cut a 1cm piece and hold it with the corner of your fingernail to wind the coil on...hehe

P.S.doesnt matter how long it is,you can make it 2 inches long if you want, just no need to make it run down under the ring

The 1st piece of wick serves as an insulator for the wire you tie up with the bottom nut,2nd piece serves as just a double wick

Cant wait to get my batch of 36 gauge...that dumb batch I have is too big,its too hard to make a proper with that burns well and has a proper amount of coils around the wick...I find that at least 4 is good.

Another thing is the silver wire;even though I can use it,the fact that its bigger make twisting them together a real chore...same size or about same size works way better and works toward an overall better experience...in my humble opinion.

Even if I don't have leaking or gurgling problems, I decided to try Imeo's advice for double 0.15 wicks. I didn't had 0.15 so I used 0.20 and combine it with dual coil.:)

I used 0.13 NiCr R (that's 36AWG - 0.005") to make two coils of 3.2 Ohms each

To be sure I have no shorts (if the coils make contact), after the four rounds of the R wire around the wick, I make another round with the R/no-R part of the coil.
This has another benefit: when I put the coil in the ceramic's channel, there's a single (i.e. thinner) wire that leaves more room for the wick.

I place the first coil in the ceramic and the wires and wick in the ceramic's channels as usual.

Then I place the second coil facing upwards and its wire and wicks in the ceramic channels, along with the wire and wicks of the first. They fit just fine. I cut the wicks at about halfway of the pole.

Note that the lower wire of each coil goes to the center pole (secured with the ring), while the upper wires go to the metallic container of the ceramic.
Here it is:

The coil that you see outside of the ceramic goes into the mouthpiece, when we screw it, so we have to be careful not to make contact with it.

This DC (2X3.2 = 1.6 Ohms) makes a perfect vaping, with great taste, hit and vapor production.

I tried it first in short mode Odysseus and I had to open the juice control (mouthpiece) often, when I suspected burnt taste. It finally stabilized in one whole turn open. It seems that especially the upper wick needs plenty of juice. I never had gurgling though.
In short mode the vapor is really hot, when I chain-vape, while Odysseus body remains just warm. This is normal because of the upper coil, which is in the mouthpiece and not in the ceramic.

In long mode the juice flow is much better, and I don't have to open the control often. In fact I think this setup works better in long mode, although the hit is better in short mode.

Keep in mind that you need a fresh battery for better results and that these DC are very thirsty and need plenty of juice.:vapor:

This is all still a little confusing to me....i wrapped like the guy from ecig review...my first was about 2.5 times around the 2 wicks...the second i did, i cut too much R wire...and when i wrapped it around the wick (about 10 turns) and hooked it all up..it was 7.8ohm...
did it again...after i tried that and couldnt get a decent taste...i went back and did about 4 wraps...and it is 3.5ohm...much better...

still i dont really knwo what i am doing... im running it on a Darwin so i can play around with the Watts (and thus volts) but am still struggling to find a perfect setup... any advice?

This method (i.e how many times you wrap the R wire around the wick) can't give you stable results.

I use a multimeter, but you can measure the length of the R wire and find the setup that you like best.
For example, if you use 2.4cm of R wire (I'm talking about the "free" part, not the part that is twisted with the no-resistance wire) of the one that Imeo is sending with Ody (NiChr 0.16mm), you'll have a resistance of 1.7 ohms, that gives a great vape at 3.7V.
Generally, for better taste, you need more wire surface (more wire length or thicker wire) , while for better hit you need low resistance (I'm talking about 3.7 or 6.0 V, since you have Darwin you are more "flexible").

Tip: if you use the R-wire length method, add about 1.5 cm to the length you want and then cut the wire. For example for 1.7ohms cut a piece about 4 cm of R-wire, so you can twist easily the edges with the no-resistance and have a net length of 2.4 cm.
