Hey ECF, so while I have posted replies in other threads, this is officially my first thread! Bummer, as I would have wanted it to be something a little more exciting and positive! :( It's whatever though, it is what it is....

OK, so here's what's going on. I've been having some nausea and stomach issues off and on the last couple of weeks. Now I should inform you that I also quit smoking around this same time. Here's a little background info. I was previously a 2 to 2 1/2 PAD smoker, and sometimes even 3. Winston Light's King were by mainstay. I actually started vaping around two months ago, and smoked at the same time. I had no real issues with vaping though until I stopped smoking completely.

I am aware 100% of withdrawals from smoking, and anticipated at least SOME discomfort despite using 18 MG of nicotine. I figured with the amount I smoked 18 MG would be a safe bet and that I could go either up or down if need be. Initially I wasn't able to stop smoking after vaping for more than a few weeks. So after stumbling across some info on here about WTA and further research I decided to try it out for myself. After approximately a week I WAS finally about to put down the smokes!

Now mind you, I had already been using the WTA at this point, Aroma's DIY unflavored 24 MG 100% VG, adding a few drops to each tank. However, that being said, I didn't vape continuously UNTIL right AFTER I stopped smoking. Then of course, ALL bet's were off, and I started vaping like those steam factories you see pumping out steam on a cold February morning!!! I noticed myself getting sick then, and I while I wasn't sure at first what it was, I finally deduced that I was overdoing it.

Given as much as I smoked, and the inferior way vaping transports nicotine through the bloodstream, I really didn't forsee that happening as much as it did, but sure enough as soon as I put a little something on my stomach if it was empty and backed off, I felt fine within 20-30 mins. It never occurred to me that the WTA could be the culprit. I have no allergies or sensitivities to PG/VG however I do PREFER higher VG juices. After running out of my first bottle of WTA, I decided to give it a whole day without it prior to reordering more. This was at four days without ANY analogues and I figured I was out of the woods and to be honest I hadn't really noticed a BIG difference in using it to justify the cost at that point. Fast forward to later that evening and I could have swore a "special" friend was due for a visit given the way I was snapping at everyone and was almost in meltdown mode! Finally it dawned on me that INDEED it DID seem as if the WTA was doing A LOT of something and I quickly put in another order or two of it in! I think my husband would have if I hadn't of! I apologized to my kids and him and got through the next couple of day without too much trouble.

While at first I chain-vaped near CONSTANTLY, eventually after the first week I started to settle down and my vaping slowly started to decrease as well thankfully, and along with it, any upset stomach and ill feelings I was having. Again, I figured some of what was going on was simply withdrawals, although I don't recall feeling sick ONCE while I was out of the WTA, and I still had times where I would vape A LOT, just not CONSTANTLY or except when I was sleeping! At first if I could have figured a way to get that thing in the shower, I WOULD HAVE! LOL.... So anyways, since I did so well while waiting on the WTA, (Except for that first one!), and from the beginning I wanted to use as little as was necessary, I have been using it sparingly. I decided to really only use it for times that I found myself vaping a lot again or if I happen to seriously consider picking up an analogue again!

Tonight I finally got around to filling my AGR cartotank, (LOVE IT! :D ), and decided to put a little WTA. Well lo and behold, a little while after vaping the SAME WAY I have been WITHOUT it, I started feeling sick again. Mostly nausea to start off with and then I immediately backed off again and was completely fine again within 20 mins. I think it's safe to say I've correctly deduced the WTA is somehow causing it! Where it starts to get unclear is if it's because of the added nicotine, which I wouldn't think would be all that great as I only added just under 1/3 of a tank, or if it could be something else that in it, the alkaloids perhaps. I would like to know for sure, but for now it looks like I'll just be leaving it out of the mix, pun intended! Of COURSE, I JUST filled the cartotank, so although I've only vaped 1/3 out of it, it's still pretty darn FULL argh!

I apologize for the lengthy post, if you can't tell is about me by now, I like to talk! :) So,anyone else having anything they'd care to add, their own 2 cents worth, experiences etc., please do! Other than that, I'd finally gotten to a point in vaping where things were going along pretty well! The bottom line for me is, I'd rather be able to vape more, than have to wait so I don't overdo it at this point! It would be one thing if I felt "satisfied" with a stronger vape, but instead I just feel sicker with some element of it and I'm left wanting to vape and not being able to!

I am sorry you are going through this . My first thought is you are getting to much nicotine .

I received my first order today and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW. I have quit smoking for 4 months and for 4 months I have had no concentration at all . Before I quit smoking I lived to work because I love my work. I am an self employed artist and I love to create., well ever since I quit smoking there has been such a dense heavy fog in my head that I could not concentrate, could be creative nor had the drive to even work.

Today my aroma juice came in and after puffing for about 15 minutes I got a slight warm tingle on the left side of my head just like someone opened up my blood vessels and turned my lights on vaguely. Fast forward to supper time it is like the lights are on. My husband came home to find me in my studio working and even commented that the old sparkle that used to be in my eyes was back. Truly I feel like someone came opened my head and sucked all the fog out and I can now think like I used to. It feels like I have finally been able to take a deep breath for the first time in 4 months.

The other noticeable thing I have noticed is I can actually put my provari down and not have to chain vape. I am using the 12mg snickerdoodle which tastes fabulous but you can tell it is stronger than other 12-15mg I normally use.

I am so hoping everything stays exactly the same but will keep everyone informed.

Feignix try a lower dose and I really hope it works out for you.

Jensy,

I feel your pain! I have ADHD, and while I have refused to stay on the medications they put me on for it, I'm sure my nicotine intake is one of the reasons I've been able to "maintain" without them, and one of the reasons I've had such trouble quitting cigarettes. I was able to decreased my cigarette consumption as I replaced it with vaping after learning that this was the least difficult way to transition. Even so I too had "brain fog" off while doing so when I went from smoking between 40-60 cigarettes a day! God, it's awful to even consider that as I type it out! It's NO wonder I was "huffing and puffing" like I was, experiencing shortness of breath along with lightheadedness as my brain struggled to get enough oxygen just trying to keep up with my toddler, which became the breaking point for me!

Another thing, I was in a severe career ending accident four years ago which has had a significant impact on me. I've had to become dependent on several different medications in order to function somewhat on the "level", especially with my desire to reclaim at least SOME of the physical aptitude I previously took for granted.

Over time the heavy medications I've been on over the years have also wrecked havoc on my physiological processes. I don't react the same to some medications in the way I used to prior to being on the kinds of medications I've been on for as long as I have. If I go to have dental work done, for example, it takes 3x the amount of medication it used to AT LEAST, just to achieve adequate anesthesia for them to do their work! So not only did I decide to quit smoking when I did, but I decided to make changes to my meds again, decreasing the doses with the ultimate goal of coming off of as many as possible! Prior to my accident, and probably even MORE SO now, I HATE having to take ANY kind of medication, ESPECIALLY mind altering ones! The medication I take for my nerve damage is the worst, and will probably be the longest detox!

My point being in revealing all of this is that I'm sure there is more than a few contributing factors at this point, so it's a bit difficult to figure out WHAT exactly is causing the interaction or WHY, despite my desire to do so... I couldn't IMAGINE getting off of everything without my nicotine fix, even if it doesn't come in the same form as it use to or is quite as strong! Getting off of the nicotine is the LEAST of my worries at this point, and will be the last drug I tackle! The strongest and pretty much ONLY severe urges to smoke I'm dealing with is when I'm in severe pain which just so happens is when I first wake up, another difficult trigger period. While my overall pain has escalated and become pretty much CONSTANT at this point!

All that aside though, through trial and error and process of elimination I just can't tolerate the WTA and have found that I don't really even need it. While it's possible it MAY have kept me from being extremely irritable initially, it NEVER seemed to lessen my desire or urge to smoke! Given that, I seem to be doing just fine without it, and the amount I vape hasn't increased significantly in it's absence as well!

I just thought of something, as I was going to question if you had tried snus before! At first I tried to just use Camel brand snus with vaping instead of smoking and vaping and it made me nauseous as well, but for some reason smoking and vaping did not, hmmm weird!

I am VERY glad it has helped you get your focus and concentration back! As I mentioned before, I truly do know what it's like to lose that with everything I've been through and it's extremely frustrating and overwhelming if not debilitating at times! It very well could have been an obstacle that triggered a relapse or return to smoking! I'm hoping my physical pain levels start to subside in the near future and don't cause the same!

I'm glad we as former smokers, and current smokers who are struggling to completely cross over have WTA as a viable option and tool to help them overcome the more difficult and less realized challenges some of us face! I think it should be considered by ANYONE who has stopped smoking but find they are still struggling after a time to maintain a smoke free lifestyle and are considering returning to it. One of the reasons I made this post was to find out if the side effects I experienced were common or if anyone else had been affected similarly. When I did a search on it, I really didn't come up with much on this subject, so I'm also hoping that this might make others aware of the possibility, and that for me it was just a temporary issue that cleared up after I switched back to my other juices.

On another note, Aroma REALLY does make some EXCELLENT juices that are available WITHOUT WTA, for anyone considering their e-liquids! I've tried the Banana tobacco "Bandana", which was my LEAST favorite by itself, but is quite good mixed with a chocolate cake and caramel cookie mix I made up using Kickbass Vapor juices I had! Yum! Oddly, it tastes like I milkshake at times, or how Neapolitan tastes after it's all melted together in the bowl. I received Red Tail Vapor Berry Best P'cakes as a tester sample, and it was not only wonderful, it was the very sample that got me AWAY from tobacco juices! Up until then I had NO IDEA what I was missing lol! It's great alone and I love it mixed in with my Kickbass Vapor "Waffles" juice, that was a bit too much with the extra flavoring I requested. It really has an authentic fruit flavor that I've only found in the likes of Long Beach Juice Supply Port LB and other high end juices! The Dark Honey was very true to taste as well, just not really my thing, as I had already found a honey flavor I prefer from O2 Vapor. Hope that helps with anyone considering them, I'd say they're definitely worth a try with or WITHOUT the WTA if you're on the fence because of the price or unsure about if it's worth it and/or anyone looking for new premium juices.

I hope it continues to help you and countless others as well Jensy, best of luck and take care!

Thought Id chime in. I tried WTA liquids a year or so ago, and actually posted something in this section of the forum. I remember being a down right utter ..... while I was vaping it. I was lucky enough to realize (with my wifes help) that I was very "angry" and remember asking myself why am I so ...... of, and very angrily answered myself: I DONT KNOW!. Needless to say I stopped vaping that and well all together for a while. I gave my gear away and all my liquids too...

I've been vaping recently, getting all new gear (itaste VV and an Aspire Glassomizer BDC) and am very selective with what kind of liquid I vape. I found a seller here in Canada who says that they send their liquids in for some sort of analysis for impurities. I certainly haven't experienced that weirdness since...but it was freaky. I feel better (mentally) knowing Im vaping from glass vs plastic cartmoizer/clearomiser too.

Its also very easy to chain vape, and I think that is a problem (for me anyway). It takes a good 10-15 minute vape session for me to have the similar satisfaction that a cigarette would give me in half the time. (still not the same as a "smoke" but reminding myself why smoking is bad and why I want to stop). But I have to tell myself to put it down. While Im all about the throat hit, I find that Im not getting decent enough throat hit for my liking with anything less than 10MG....and at 10MG, if I chane vape, I get "stoned" like feeling which I dont like.

Im trying to treat this more like a cigarette, where I have to stop what Im doing and have a "smo er vape". I eventually want to get down to just 1-2 time a day vaper, to eventually social vaping with smoker friends.
