Fellow vapers - my XTAR WP2 II is playing games with me. I've had it for a few years, and it worked perfectly with all the AW, Efest, and Panasonic batteries I used to have. But when I put my new Samsung 2600mah batteries (the pink ones) in it, the lights NEVER turn green. I've left them in there for hours and hours (while I was awake in the same room, of course) and the light stays red the entire time. However - when I pop them out and put them in a mod to check their voltage, lo and behold, it's fully charged and back up to 4.1. Is this some sort of common problem I just didn't know about? Is the charger just "confused" because the batteries are a higher capacity? Thank you...

I don't have an answer to your question. But I have an important question for you.

Are you aware that those Samsung 2600mAh batteries are ICR batteries? In what application are you using them?

They are not high-drain nor safe-chemistry batteries. In this day of modern battery technology ICR batteries are pretty much shunned in the mod community. IMR and IMR/hybrid batteries are what you should be using.

I was just using them in a cheap SID I picked up. The batteries I used to own were all IMR, but I did not realize that the pink Samsung were not. (sigh) Well, into the trash can they go. Thanks for the heads up.
