possibly a strange question..

hi everyone!

i have had a 901 for 3 1/2 months and my charger broke today (very aggravating ) i have tried to find a solution while waiting for my replacement to ship to me, so i called my aunt who bought a 501 and does not use it, and place the end of my battery to the charger to charge (the problem here is the 501's have a female end on the battery and the 901's have a male) i use tape to hold it in place, and it seems to be charging fine, i'm on the second battery to charge and the first one has been working for me (knock on wood) for as long as if i had been using my origonal charger but i looked on the back of both, and the 901 says the output is 4.2V and .1A, and the 501 says its output is 4.2V and 150 milliamps, so here lies my possibly odd question, does this seem to anyone that it could potentially harm my batteries? please let me know if i am doing something stupid quick!!! thanks in advance!

wow, that was an interesting situation, glad its working for you, i kno how it can be having the rug pulled out from under you, ive been using the cheap twenty dollar xhale02 brand e-cigs from 7-11, and the atty's keep dieing on me, and without spare parts to be found at said 7-11, im stuck with purchasing a new starter kit or going thru a nic fit and most likely breaking down and buying a pack of analogs, however i just ordered a 510 and altho ive heard many pros/cons to it, im hoping it will be a good start to a fairly more reliable product, im glad you were able to find a quick fix solution while waiting for your new charger.

thanks to both! bigchem, i also borrowed my aunts 501 and tried it out while waiting for my 901 one to charge, i liked it, it was very similar to my 901 though harder to drag i found, which may be better because it was more similar to smoking an analog than the 901 or the xhale (which correct me if i'm wrong but is very loose when you take a drag) but i did find the battery life on the 501 was about 1/2 as short as the 901, but as long as yo keep your charger on the go it shouldn't be a problem. and DON'T GIVE IN! analogs aren't worth it!!! good luck and thanks!

If your 901 has just one hole, a wrap of cellotape that covers half the hole might be what you're looking for. If has two cover one of them.

yea ive been using the xhale02 since the start of the year, ive had maybe 5 analogs a week spread out to about 1-2 every other day, but i haven't bought a single pack since i got my first xhale unit, im currently on my third starter kit of xhale02 because the atty keeps dieing on me after about ten days and i can't buy replacements at the store, and when the atty dies i have no choice besides buying a new starter kit or buying a pack, so after buying my third xhale starter kit today i got home an ordered a 510 unit online, ive been buying these xhale starter kits over an over because i don't want to go back to analogs, i want to stay on vape or quit all together, but i really want to quit analogs.

I saw a KR8/901 cable cheap at vaporleaf.com - dunno how much their shipping is though.

And I have bought from LiteCigUSA.net many times - a bit more for the cable there but under $3 shipping.

901 battery to USB cable here, or you could get the battery to AC charger

You can also buy 901 battery to 510 adapter which should let the 901 batteries fit correctly on the 510 charger

USB chargers are awesome, no cords, no hassle, ofcoarse u need a usb drive to use it, but most users here will have 2 batts minimum, and at that point u can have both batts charged before u leave the house and that should be enough for anyone's day out, overnight stays might be an issue but most of the time you'll find a usb drive somewhere..

i agree, i think the usb chargers are awesome, i used to have one with a crappy ecig i bought about a year ago, the thing worked awesome, i wish i had one for my 901

i just ordered a 510 and im hoping the 3 xhale02 batts i have will work with the 510 joye unit, because the xhale02 only sells starter kits and cart refills at the 7-11 when the atty dies i have no choice but to buy a new starter kit, im on my third kit and now have 3 usb chargers an 3 batts, and only 1 working atty, when my 510 gets here i rly hope the usb chargers i have and my batts are compatible with the 510, but sumthin tells me i shouldn't get to excited about it, when my remaining xhale02 atty burns out il be stuck with three batts and three chargers and no attys..
