i am totally peeved at the post office right now, if i could print some colorful words on here at this minute believe me i would.

my package was sent from fsusa on monday, with the tracking#. it showed as 'out for delivery' today, but the postjerk came and went. i called the local office and the guy told me he would talk to the delivery-shmuck when he came in. i got home from the gym just now, check their website and find a new status "delivered, 11:00 am, february 16". boy what a bunch of crap. i have no package and now it is too late to get a hold of anyone there.

wow, i have let this ruin my day and i am having a hard time letting it go right now. so what advice does anyone have for me? obviously i call them in the morning. this post-slob has mixed up the mail in the past, once before i had a package brought to me by a neighbor one street over but with the same address numbers. this was a year or so ago. what do i do? has this happened to anyone else on here?

Yup I understand the frustration fully. I had a similar incident and expected to find a new mod at my house but when I got home it was not there. They had a fill in deliverer that day and I went to the local post office at 4:55pm and POLITELY explained that I was tracking a package that had to be at my house that day. They checked and said it was on the truck. They stayed a little late and sent her back to my house to deliver it. Another chime in for keep the temper in check and you will most likely get better results. Best of luck

thanks for the replies, i stepped away from thinking about it, focused on something else for a while, now i feel much better.

i spoke with someone at fsusa, they said it's happened before and this is why they pay for the tracking.

i really do appreciate the replies. i'd never be rude when speaking with people in situations like this. i just needed to vent on here, i guess.

Nothing wrong with venting on the ECF. Sounds like you were just having a bad day. You package will make it. Maybe a day or two later than you wanted, but it will arrive.

I don't think anyone was offended. I was thinking some pretty nasty thoughts about UPS last week when they just seemed to shut down for half a week till all the snow melted. Then when my order finally got here there was an "emergency condition beyond UPS control" that delayed delivery for another full day. Now it's here and I have a whole box of shiny new bottles to fill. Happy mixing day. :)

Kitty,

I hope your package arrived today ... I can totally relate to the frustration. I have a package that was shipped on the 7th of February and it's still not here .. it was sent from WA to Minneapolis (I am just north/west of Minneapolis) and then for some unknown reason, the post office shipped it off to Montana .. where it sits in Billings. GRRRRRRRRR

Its good to vent, I've found that it makes one able to deal with the ...... politely because you have released all that negative energy beforehand. Don't apologize for that ..it's human to be frustrated. And everyone is right, when dealing with the US Post Office, being nice is better ... I once complained about my postman and he started doing extremely rude things to my mail. You really do not want to piss off a government worker!

If you ever need to vent again and don't want to post in public, feel free to PM me ..I think venting is very important!!

Peace,
cleo

my neighbor from the next street came over with my package today! yay me!! i don't know why this happens, but more than one mailman has mixed up our mail. in the past i have received this persons mail in my box and had to take it to them and vice versa.

we do live in a gated community with all of the mailboxes in one location, maybe that has something to do with it.

don't worry banjo, i am nice to the mail delivery people, along with all other workers i come across. i've made mistakes on my job before, just like everyone else. i just needed to get out my frustration.

thanks cleo, for the offer. venting does help soooo much. once i vent all the chatter in my head seems to stop. i hope you get your package soon.
