power problems

I just recently bought a rig mechanical mod and am using the kanger subtank with a 0.5 ohm coil. I've had it for a week now and it's been loosing power. I have to pull much longer to get the same hot as I was when I first started using it. battery is brand new and when using one of my other batteries it's the same problem at first I thought it was due to the connection points in the mod being dirty but I cleaned them off and still having this problem I have a roommate who has a mechanical as well and using the aspire Atlantis and he is having the same problem but his is much worse having to pull till your out of breath and still not getting a good amount of vapor and feels like theres no heat if anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated

Depending on the liquid you are using one week is about all you get out of a Kanger coil before it gets so crudded up that it no longer performs well.

Changed the coil and still getting the same problem I've been using the kanger subtank for a month or so but never had a problem

What battery are you using and what mechanical mod do you have?

Assuming nothing else has changed...

You replaced the coil with the same ohm coil? If so, coil shouldn't be an issue.
You cleaned the threads and contacts? If so, that shouldn't be an issue.
Your battery is probably a 20 amp HE2, more than enough battery for a Subtank.

Does the RIG mod have a hybrid top cap? If so, you could have a partial short, but that would generally make the battery get hot. The Subtank and Atlantis are not safe to use on mech mods with hybrid top caps.

What brand and model charger are you using for your batteries? Do the batteries read 4.2 volts when you take them off the charger?

How much e-liquid are you vaping before the wick/coil goes bad? Everyone vapes different amounts, so a week means nothing...

At what voltage do you stop using and recharge the batteries? Verified using dvom/multi meter, you do have a way to measure voltage & resistance, right?
Drain them too low and you'll reduce life or ruin them.

You really need a digital multimeter with a mech mod. It could tell you the voltage of the battery, voltage at the mod connector, and resistance of the coil. Need to know that info to eliminate an electrical issue.

take the topcap off the rig
screw the tank onto the topcap
*adjust the screws on the topcap* the screw needs to contact the centerpin on the tank; you don't want a gap between the tank and the topcap.

Thanks for all the posts guys all good points I think the problem was with the bottom of the tank the connection point was worn down and not giving a good connection I just bought a new tank and it's working great getting good throat hits now my roonates looks like his is worn down as well so I'm going to give him the same advice
