Im having a problem where after not using my vape for around a day/half a day means that i have to sort of "warm it up" as my first few minutes of vaping will give less vapor and a much worse throat hit. Weirdly enough iv started vaping at higher wattages, and its helped this issue alot. I saw a thread in another forum where a user had the same problem with the atlantis mega and another one of his larger capacity tanks. Does anyone know what causes this? It happens regardless of nicotine content.

Damn, two months? I think your coil may be bad man. If you vape at higher wattages - of course - it'll heat your coils faster so you don't need to "warm it up". If you, lets say, vape at 100 watts the coil will be heated within half a second. If you vape at 12 watts.... welllllll.. it'll take a little more time for that coil to heat up and vape your juices. That's not the problem though. The throat hit and less flavor thing - you just needa replace your coils. And before you start vaping that new coil, make sure you flood the cotton with juice! Then you can attach it and vape. I'm assuming that's why your coils weren't good from the start as you mentioned above. You most likely didn't saturate your coils and just vaped it right after filling. That burns your cotton and just messes up the whole coil right off the bat.

Hope that helps!

You replace the head which is the coil / wicking material assembly.

Be sure to prime it properly before use.
