Ok here it is , this shows how battery life can be increased by an increase in voltage and resistance .
LR attys draw MORE current from a battery this lowers the charge time of the battery , batteries are a FIXED VOLTAGE device they STORE CURRENT so what you are using is the CURRENT , so any time you can save on current usage you are gaining charge life time.power chart.pdf

Right on Mike, I use 2.9-3.2 ohm Boge 510 cartos on my buzz, set at about 4.55-4.76v I find this to never heat up the cartos and I like the three week life that I get from them, my 6v mod kills cartos within two days.

Should be getting my infinity within any minute now, (keeping an eye on the mail box), so I can't wait to try it out.

FYI we are now doing some testing on the Infinity @ 2.2 ohms on the bench tester , we are getting an average of 20 seconds run time (full on time ) before the temp. overload circuit kicks in so we have kicked the cutout problem in the ..... ( we had one go 2 minutes on a 2.2 ohm load )
This means we will be lowering the min. Ohms rating to 2.4 ohms ( we need some breathing room ) it does get warm after this amount of time but that is not unusual in this situation.

Glad to hear it is all good now Ruppy , Ya many people got sold on the LR atty thing and now it is a matter of retraining to a degree .
I do not expect people to understand electronics that is why I am trying to explain it in laymans terms .
There are serious advantages to higher voltage and resistance .

The advantage to me is better flavor, better taste, better battery life, cooler device, longer lasting cartos and attys, etc etc etc..........

I can taste it, see it, feel it, and smell it,....... What more proof could someone need ;)

I can't understand why anybody would use LR on a HV or VV PV. But some people just don't understand it I guess. It's good that you got it lowered though. Because My favorite cartomizer is on the edge and it's the only one he makes. It works for a couple days until the ohms drop then I have to use it on my Buzz..

LR atty's are getting all this hype because the make 3.7 volt PV's deliver more. They just don't get the premise of a VV. It (5 volts) negates the need for an LR entirely, and yes, it is BASIC electronics, as basic as it gets. It's freakin Ohm's Law. If an LR is good on an 808, it must be better on a VV, duh, right? Um... wrong.

Even my WOW cartos get too hot on the Buzz, and there is no need to be under 2.5 ohms. None. Zero. In fact, as you pointed out Mike, it's a negative. It draws more amperage, it shortens battery cycles. It probably shortens battery life too. I don't claim to be a Li ion batt expert.

Mike, I suspect you think I am a dummy... LOL, I've asked some dopey questions, but I was an airborne radar technician. I know ohm's law. I can't fix an automobile though. If it has moving parts or involves tools... I get someone else to do it!

Not at all Matches ! on the contrary . Not everybody understands this stuff I know that , that is why I try to make up these types of things to help people understand in a easier way.

its funny i just thought of something, all of us that stopped smoking gain a little knowledge about electric currents, ohms, and volts and such things, have many of use that switched to vaping have gone and brought a device whatcha call them, to check voltage and ohms on our pv's, and how many of use have learned basics of this kinda stuff that we would have never learned if we were still smoking analogs.

just one more benefit of switching to vaping. lol
