I bought a couple sample packs to get an idea of some of the different tastes. I have been using strictly the Cowboy liquid and coming from Winston Lights it is a bit strong but I am getting used to it. I thought I would like the Camel Joe, but what I have found is in the pre filled sample carto I got, it seem to be very dry, not only on that one, but all of them. Is this the norm? I mean I think I would like the Camel Joe if it was more of moist hit like the Cowboy liquid gives me.

I had no problem with dry taste from the carto's

I too used to smoke winston lights I found my tobacco flavor was dessert joe or RY4. I just thought cowboy and 555 were just too strong flavor for me.

But truthfully after about 2 weeks I was hooked on fruit flavors but still love RY4. Now the taste of Dessert Joe or 555 or the cowboy are just not for me gave away my desert Joe and my 555 to a friend who only does tobacco strong flavors. Remember taste is subjective and what you like today maybe be gross tomorrow.

What mg are you using? If you were using Lights on analogs, you might have chosen too high of a nic level. You can remedy that by refilling the carto with a lower nic Cowboy juice you order from SI.

I found the same with the dryness on the 555 and Desert Joe. I found that the Cowboy did not seem to be dry.

Keep some water around and keep sipping on it while you are vaping. If you are a bit dehydrated, it will amplify the effect of a perceived dry vape.

Good luck!

Definitely make sure you are drinking plenty of water. I didn't like the fruit flavors at first but now I like cherry and watermelon. My fave has been SI Ry4 but...I am leaning towards Cowboy and Freedom now. Keep anything you don't like well sealed and in a dark cabinet so that you can try them again later.

Personally, I always thought that I could taste the polyfill when I was and when I do use the pre-filled cartos. Everything that I have tried for the PVs have a dry taste to me which is different. I thought that because it was liquid, that the feel of the hit would be different as well but it really isnt.

I think you can taste the flavor better on the CE3s with juice as opposed to the pre-filled. I did like the sample packs to get me going though because I didnt know what to expect and I have a handful of 10ml juices that I can't stand.........which is worse than one pre-filled carto I dont like

Thats a shame as I really like the smooth taste of Dessert Joe, but I can not tolerate not having the moist vape. I guess I stay with the Country (I just realized I have been calling it Cowboy) I have had from the start. I prefer the tobaco taste over fruit and nutty, was just trying to find something a bit smoother then the Country.

Don't know how to help with prefilled cartos, but if you do get some liquid you might try adding some TFA marshmallow to it, maybe 1 drop per 3-5 ml for starters. It should be low enough to not sweeten it, but it seems to help with a 'dry' juice. I've used it with some DIY I'm doing and it seems to work for me.
