I have been doing genealogy work for several years and have traced one of the branches back to Edward I Plantagenet, King of England from 1272 to 1307. He was my 21st great-grandfather. The line is through his wife Eleanor Of Castile, Queen consort.

Hugh De Montgomery born about 960 in Normandy, France is the earliest person. He was my 30th great-grandfather.

There are a total of 13,002 individuals in in my file at the present time.

Most of us are related to someone famous way back there somewhere. The big problem is finding the line that can get you there. The internet is doing wonders for genealogists nowadays.
