jan, that's what i used - the problem comes in downsizing for avi - animation gets lost ......

I've played a very little with animated gifs in the past. Check out one of the free animated gif editors in my previous link. What you probably need to do is resize each of the individual images that make up the animated gif and save the edited image.

ETA: Let me give it a quick lookee will report back shortly
