When Hurricane Charley came through my neck of the woods the big monster power poles all fell on top of our little residential power poles. The Power company couldn't get us back on till those big ones were fixed. But they couldn't fix them so it took 3 months to get our power back on. Then it took another 3 months to get the phones where that wouldn't drop a call every time the wind blowed. That was a rough time for sure, the portable generator sucked down a gallon per hour. So it only got ran for 2 hours in thew morning and 3 at night.

lol, gummy - my mother always shakes her head when she hears of our outages and wonders why the repairs keep being made instead of putting those wires underground

Yes I do, jj. Just caught up with RW stuff today and just now checking in. It was not a storm related outage - more likely a bird or a squirrel on a transformer. Big Kaboom! then it was out.
Looks like I should turn some time in the next hour. I hope it doesn't hurt.
