There's 100 opinions on this. lol. Here's what I do (most of the time)

1) blow it out
2) run the tap water till hotest
3) hold under tap, let water run through. Blow the water out. Repeat until you get good run through and blowing it out feels "clean".
4) blow it out real well... ?2 breaths?. Can dry it with a "warm burn... don't stress it" or better... just put a couple of drops of PG in it and blow it through maybe a few times.

I also use ISO for stubborn stuff. Do the above, then rinse with ISO/PGA. Remember to blow that out real well too so you don't vape it. Real small amounts generally won't bother anyone.

I used to do that, but one time I did like 5 or 6 of them & let them completely dry & they all never worked again...so I shy away from water & rinsing...

Not just you! I got 2 510 attys with the EM Riva kit. Both died quickly, and one fried 2 of my batts if you recall. These Joyes should last you longer.

+1 AttyPops, hot water rinse or soak.

If you get tired of the rinse/blowing at the sink... try a mug of hot water and a turkey baster. Pop the bulb off, put the atty in threads down, put the bulb on and pump the water from the mug in/out through the atty. Most T.Basters will allow the atty to move up and the water to go in, then the atty moves down, plugs the opening, and the water is forced through the atomizer on the way out.
