Yes, just a "tap" (yes, that guy "tapped" it and didn't even pull my hair! Oooohhhh...that was naughty.)
A few years ago some teenager on her cell phone rear-ended me so hard that it pushed my car into the one in front of me. Air bags deployed and forced the driver seat into a fully reclined position. My seat belt did not engage and the crash totaled my car. She didn't have insurance, either. My car was completely paid off, but thankfully my procrastination paid off because I still had full coverage on it.
