Now that one I didn't understand, so I had to use a translator.
The translation was "My bum is a parade tin".
Ok, I'm getting lost now. I spoke some Canadian French, a different dialect than the Parisian French that the translator is using.
My dad is fluent in Canadian French. During WWII he was assigned to escort a female member of the Free French forces. He barely understood her.
Very much so. The Canadian French were isolated from the mother tongue, since the mid 1700's. Any new mechanical invention was known as "la machine" to them. They also created their own words out of English words for new things. A pineapple literally was translated into the French words "pomme de pin", apple of pine.
In english:
"My buttocks is a Tinfoil Parade".
It has no meaning. And it is funnier when translated into another language.
But watching people's reactions to the phrase is priceless.

It is funny, Cozzicon. I couldn't figure out what the heck you meant !!! lol
It is like ....someone wants to learn how to say something to someone and they are told something really "off" to say !
