They aren't strong like lions so I believe there is some truth to that, I watched a show on them too, but can't remember what they said...but it was something like that~

They're the weakest of big cats, but the fastest land animal. The species sacrificed everything for speed.

Yeah I was a big fan of Animal Planet before I stopped getting cable. Used to love to watch Cats 101 and Dogs 101 too. Ooh, and Pet Star!

Tigers are my absolute favourite large cat. It's a shame that they are slowly being driven toward extinction. Tigers are closely followed by the Black Panther as my second favourite, for it's amazing stealth and grace. Panthers are the smallest of the 4 big cats, but they are perhaps the most successful killers out there, taking out their prey with stealth rather than brute force.

Ligers and Tions are cool but messed up. I would think with as rare as tigers are getting that breeding one with a lion is kind of a waste.

This is my favorite big cat. They don't run, they fly, each stride 20 feet and paws barely touch the ground.

I believe the cheetah is the only cat that does not have retractable claws

It's definitely an interesting breed.

I just saw something about that recently, and I believe they are semi-retractable.
