You need to read better books.
"When Europeans first encountered turkeys on the American continent, they incorrectly identified the birds as a type of guineafowl (Numididae). Guineafowl were also known as turkey fowl (or turkey hen and turkey ....) because they were imported to Central Europe through Turkey. The name turkey fowl, shortened to just the name of the country, stuck as the name of the American bird."
He grows them and sheds them, just starting to grow back now. He is the only one of his kind here
, but I catch him displaying to...turkeys, who he hangs out with.

Heya! I didn't see your post earlier cause I was too busy trying to figure out those damn ink blots.
You know what they say about simple minds. LOL And thanks but I think I'll just let myself slip quietly into Vet status. I normally don't get a lot of time to sneak in here on ECF so I don't venture out of my regular sub forums much. I get lost easily around here.
Damn I feel old by saying that. LOL I'm still cornfused about this vet turning party thing. Am I suppose to look for a special thread or sumthin? I don't want to be rude and not stop in and say thanks if there is going to be a special thread posted someplace. BTW... For the record I'm a "he". I just checked.
I said HE Vaps to the folks here...& I will have a thread started in the veterans forum for you , but you won't be able to see it unil you change the 1 year date from becoming a member here...I'll show you when the time comes how to find the Veteran s forum okay?

Yah, big place, isn't it? I do the same, hang out in a couple places. I'm no spring chicken or turkey either.
