When I was young, a group of us hung around an old gas station. The owner was the only one there and he was always working on cars and had to stop what he was doing and go out to pump the gas. He made a deal with us, if we pumped the gas for him, he would let us hang around there. It worked out well for him and for us.

Now, you'd be sued with child labor and endangerment. Progress.

Well there's still laws on the books that say I can't tie my horse up in front of the general store....so I tie him up out back instead where no one can see
