Okay, that answers it then - thx Jerry, Classy, jj. I was just trying to get some idea so I would know what to google. You know how many hits I would come up with if I googled the word "house," right? Just trying to narrow it down. This is going to be a really hard one for me, but I'll try.

House, the person, can be very funny. The show is definitely a drama.

Example, House talking to a prim and dull clinic patient: (Episode: TB or Not TB)

Mandy: The top of my head’s killing me. [She puts her hand on her head to demonstrate.]

House: Hmmm. We spent a week doing ‘top of head’ in Anatomy. I know just where it is. [He sticks his fingers right against her sinuses, and she flinches.]

Mandy: Ow! That is not the top of my head!

House: Eh, close enough for clinic. Your sinuses are clogged. Judging by the scratches on your hands, I’m guessing a new cat.

Mandy: It was my mother’s. She’s dead.

House: You keep a dead cat?

Mandy: No. My mother’s dead.

House: Oh. Poor cat. You’re allergic. We can control it with antihistamine, one pill a day.

Mandy: Pills?

House: You don’t like to swallow. Not surprised. Forget the pills. I’ll give you a nasal spray.

Mandy: Steroids? Is there something else you can give me?

House: Well, if you live by the river, I’ve got a bag.

And now I have to watch the episode Sex Kills with the clinic patient who is in love with cows. See you later.

"You don't like to swallow. Not surprised." is the one that made me lose it. Especially because he said it so conversationally, without any special emphasis, that everyone I know was "did he mean what I think he meant?" and "if not, and I mention it, will everyone think I'm pervy and reading too much into things."

I have the DVDs for the first 6 seasons. And all the episodes on my computer. And on my iPod.

The last 5 episodes are on Hulu. I don't think Season 7 is a great place to start but if you want to watch one, I'd pick The Fix or After Hours. Definitely NOT Moving On

Hughbunnies is a locked community, but the tumbler account might have some. I can't imagine that she avoided them all.

I tried Hugh Laurie Sail because there was a series of pictures someone took one Saturday when he rented a sailboat and he was sitting there with no wind and he wasn't grinning like an idiot so the British press had a field day with "Hugh Laurie depressed" headlines. One of the pics in that series has him pulling out a Marlboro Extra Light but I can't find it.


ETA 2: Hugh Laurie Net doesn't get updated any longer. It's a pity because it was a great site. I've used one of the pix from The Young Visiters on this page before:
