I only had to visit a farm when I stayed over at a Uncle & Aunts. Observed enough to know I didn't want to be a farmer!!!

I loved mowing and raking, but ID have a baler, so my neighbor did that with a barter of me shell'g/husking walnuts from his tree. We all bartered chores there - some were fun. Had to buy fruit @ crate sales since the deer kept stripping my fruit trees.

When I was a babe, I played w/the calfs and they were my lil buddies. Was heart-broken when they were butchered to feed our family. Maybe he dint want u 2 get to chummy w/them b/c you'd be eatg them some day.
He had a mixture of butchering and milking cows. We got to play with them when mommy wasn't around--I guess he didn't trust them.
Any pre-veteran, one month or less, who wants a welcome thread in the Veteran's Forum and or an avatar theme, for their turning day, post in this thread.

Good afternoon all! Just checking on on my lunch. We got 2 new pre-vets to celebrate! Yay! That made it easy that Candy went with the Superwoman theme.
