Hi, Seabrook. Thanks for the PM inviting me to come forward. I'm turning on July 2nd. But boy do I relate to Attypops about being kinda shy....and not really wanting any big deal. I wouldn't mind a welcome thread, I guess. My "quit" day was June 30th, and (same as Attypops) that's big to me....wow...a year off cigs!
I have lurked on this thread off and on, wondering what it was all about. I spend a lot of time on the new members forum trying to help out the newbies so I just don't know that many people. I don't have a "theme" that's important to me....I just barely figured out how to put up an avi at all....let alone change them all the time. (Whiskey is my hero....I sometimes search for her just to see what her avi is on any given day. Ha.)
Anyway, I don't want any big deal....but somehow I do want to share with this wonderful place that I've made it a whole year! I'm torn. Ha.
Anyway...I guess the bottom line is, I'd welcome a Welcome Thread but don't really want/need anything special beyond that. Thanks for coming to get me and inviting me to the party.

P.S. I was "JCnewbie" for about 10 months of my year here. One of the members teased me about still being a "newbie" when I had over 1200 posts, so I changed it to JC Okie. There may be friends here who don't even know who I am anymore....

Thanks, Classwife! It's definitely been a life-changing year! I'm as addicted to ECF as I ever was to smoking! Ha. I can't believe it's been a year. At this point there's no risk (in my mind) of ever going back to cigs again. So now it's just all gravy. I've found my perfect mod, my perfect couple of juices, my comfort zone of where I will/won't vape, and I've just been enjoying the ride for awhile now.

My only other passion, and the only other forum I'm a member of...is the Carrie Underwood fan club. I'm a card-carrying, charter member (and 5 year member) of her fan club, and it's the only other forum I ever go to and participate in. For those who don't even know.....she's a big country music star, and she's an Okie from a couple of towns over. She won American Idol back in 2005 and has gone on the be a big country music star. And even though I'm old (I turned 62 yesterday....this is a big month for me! Ha.)....I'm a HUGE fan...worse than a teenager! Ha. I think it would be kinda really cool to see a bunch of Carrie Underwood avatars on my thread for a day! I know it may sound silly....but that's okay....we all have our little idiosyncrasies....we just don't usually admit them on a forum with 60,000+ members. Ha. So if anyone wants to go find some Carrie Underwood pictures, I'd be up for that. I know it won't be as fun as finding Gilligan's Island pics, but it'd be fun for me to see what everyone came up with. It's a thought.....would that work?
