The prices just make me so mad! I can't step foot in a grocery store without spending $100 If my husband had to go I would have to listen to him complain about the prices for weeks on end so I don't send him
It's too easy to spend $100 these days. I go in with a grocery list and stick to it, check prices, see what's on sale. I spend on average $60 a week and that's for me and my dad.
Where is the list of people getting ready to turn? I feel like I am missing someone. I looked back a few pages but could not find it.
WHAT! I am a coupon clipper and sale stalker too but I spend $100-$150 for 2 adults and 2 birds! Do tell your secrets. Do you eat Ramen Noodles? I would say beans but even they are high nowadays lol
I don't buy a lot of meat and only when it's on sale, then I buy a good amount and freeze it. I usually buy store brand items and then I stock up, if it's on sale. I don't buy fancy foods, like pre-cooked items. I won't buy cakes, but cake mixes and bake my own cakes. I rarely buy pies, or junk foods. I'm just careful, I guess.
I go to Sam's Club to buy meat and get large pieces and cut my own steaks and chops.
I remember seeing signs at the meat dept. that said

That sound like another late night turning, Cindy, this is a job for the west coast crew. Where is Sea ??? She was active earlier today and then sort of disappeared.
I do all of that too. I think what really gets me is the produce though. I am lucky to have a fruit farm around the corner from my house but we eat a lot of veggies and so do our birds. We try to stay on a low GI diet and have to eat veggies, fruits, nuts and high fiber items.
Oh, and I can't tell you the last time I bought any luxury items such as steak lol

That's not necessary Cindy. I change my forum time to west coast time and then checked D-Lite's join date. It was July 21st, when I was on eastern time and July 20th, when I switched to west coast time.
Even when I do Aldi's it cost me about $40!!! and I'm in there a couple times a week.
The meat I do at the local store---they run some good deals and then I stock up.
I really hate it when I have to buy cleaning supplies.

I have a Dollar Tree close by and it is the best place to get cleaning supplies. Everything there is truly $1 if they have what you need.
