I woke up to huge crashes of Thunder and mad streaks of Lightning. Quite the sight watching the pouring rain with a hot coffee mug in hand. This was at 4 a.m EST. Funny enough, my dog did not think it quite so beautiful. She could not figure out which room in the house was safer, so she went and sat in the bathroom curled up behind the toilet. :)

Good morning all. :)

My cat does the smart thing. She finds the room that has all curtains drawn (usually the master bedroom) and sits bang in the middle of the floor (away from all walls and windows) :). Regular little Einstein she is, but like all geniuses, she has a few screws loose as well. Example: She'll be strolling along, nose and tail in the air. Suddenly jumps up, does a back flip and takes off like a ghost has her by the tail. Then comes grumbling back into the room. Do your cats grumble?

Here's an interesting read Amazon.com: Catfantastic (9781567311532): Andre Norton, Martin Harry Greenberg: Books. One of the stories has an "explanation" for this cat behavior - they are chasing "dreamerlies", us human folk just can't see them. :D

PK - yep, just tested it, seems to be working fine for me. It sounds, from Roly's reply in the "30 second delay" thread , like the forum is run from different servers and one of them may be acting up in various ways. If the search isn't working for you, I'd try logging off ECF, and logging back on; this may switch you to a different server???

I knows just enuf to be dangerous, follow any advice I give at your own risk
