Welcome to the ECF Pre-Vet thread!

A Pre-Vet is an ECF member that is about to have their status "Turn" to ECF-Veteran on or about the anniversary of their ECF sign up. You also need approximately 75 post.

This thread is where you can hang out (courtesy of Whiskey creating this thread) and celebrate becoming an ECF-Veteran with other ECF members. You have the option (but not the obligation) to have an Avatar Theme Celebration on your turning day. You select a theme, and many of the group here will help celebrate by changing their avatars. Kind of an avatar costume party. You'll also get a bunch of congrats and a welcome thread created in a sub-forum for vets that pre-vets can't even see yet. If you want to have an avatar theme, start thinking about it!

We will not turn away last minute request, but please try to give us enough advanced notice so we can dig something up for pics. Two weeks prior to your turning date would be awesome.
We try to limit scheduling to the current and the following month.

If you are a pre-veteran and want a welcome thread in the Veteran's Forum and or an avatar theme for your turning day please do the following: Post in this thread and PM me your request.

This thread moves fast so as a final safeguard double check the list that is posted here several times a day sometime before your turning day.

We do our best to accommodate multiple members turning on the same date. Each member is free to choose their own theme; participants rotate and/or combine themes as desired.

Joining in on the celebration is for all members (new and old) so please feel free to participate in the themes for others if you wish. If you are not a Vet yet and want your pic added to Celebrant's thread in the Veterans Forum, there is a Depot located in the Sandbox.
Once you get to the Sandbox, look for the celebrant's thread and follow instructions.

Hi BR and all. Still haven't got my prob settled - still can't change avis. Angus plopped this one in for me so I wasn't bare. I guess I'll have to have a mod change my avis every so often, but changing as often as the avi parties is just not practical to keep bugging them with.

I'll just hang out and post the appropriate graphics to the new vets welcome threads. A Geek Squad friend of mine is going to call tomorrow and remote onto my desktop, so maybe the prob will vanish. If not, no biggie for now.

BR the avi isn't really dressed. It's a mermaid caught in a fishing net. Mermaids don't usually wear bikini tops - at least I don't think they do. But the fishing net hides all.

Tuck, I'm not sure when you turn - what state or time zone do you live in? And do you remember what time of day you joined?

If you don't want to have to glue your .... to the chair and have pointer do a hundred F5's, it will always be 25 minutes past the hour.
