really? hmmm. you can reduce the size to fit...turns out there's a small infraction involved if your banner is too big and a mod notices (i know this from personal past experience )

There are a number of free image editing programs uAdC. Some here use GIMP, fotoflexer (?) and others. I use Photo Pos Pro. Photo Pos Pro is fairly easy to use (which is why I use it ).
