So when the ball get intercepted (or is that interfooted?) is he instantly offside?

Or.....what if the last defender is behind him and then runs ahead of him, is he offsides, or does he have to run ahead of the last defender, before the paint chip guy sees him ?? They could continue this "leapfrogging", until they both are out of the stadium. lol
And.... why then don't all the defending players just refuse to go near the goal... then they (the attacking team) couldn't be near the goal or they'd be offsides? Or is it the opposite end of the field?
I'll take American football, it's more of a battle than a game. The quarterback throws bullets and bombs, they march into enemy territory, the other team blitzes and the ref doesn't give out paint chips for running into the other guy. 
Tib is strangely quiet. Maybe she is making another Patriot voodoo doll to stick pins into. 
you guys got ruined by all that nonsense you watch, lolonce the ball is in play all is good but you cannot do what is done in basketball (great game btw where i'm apt to tolerate some commercials), namely to position yourself way ahead, waiting for just the right pass
