It's getting there. The little monster goes back to school next week. I'm off for a Golf weekend tomorrow. It will all fall into place slowly but surely!

Are you doing Pet Therapy or AAT with your dogs at the hospital? I hope you don't mind me asking...it brings back some fond memories of a hospital I once worked at that had the Pet therapy program.
Those were always the best days to be at work; the dogs (and one really sweet cat) always brought a lot of smiles and joy to everyone; they eased so much stress on both the patients and the employees. Everybody was always in a better place on those days.

As the guest of honor it's not up to you to get someone to start any threads. We do that for you. But if you have someone special in mind, PM me your request. Please keep in mind though, said person must be an ECF Veteran.
All welcome threads should be started in the Veterans Forum EARLY morning the day before. If that is not possible, the night before.
Welcome to the ECF Pre-Vet thread!
A Pre-Vet is an ECF member that is about to have their status "Turn" to ECF-Veteran on or about the anniversary of their ECF sign up. You also need anywhere from 70 and 75 post.
This thread is where you can hang out (courtesy of Whiskey creating this thread) and celebrate becoming an ECF-Veteran with other ECF members. You have the option (but not the obligation) to have an Avatar Theme Celebration on your turning day. You select a theme, and many of the group here will help celebrate by changing their avatars. Kind of an avatar costume party. You'll also get a bunch of congrats and a welcome thread created in a sub-forum for vets that pre-vets can't even see yet. If you want to have an avatar theme, start thinking about it!
We will not turn away last minute request, but please try to give us enough advanced notice so we can dig something up for pics. Two weeks prior to your turning date would be awesome.
We try to limit scheduling to the current and the following month.
If you are a pre-veteran and want a welcome thread in the Veteran's Forum and or an avatar theme for your turning day please do the following: Post in this thread and PM me your request.
This thread moves fast so as a final safeguard double check the list that is posted here several times a day sometime before your turning day.

We do our best to accommodate multiple members turning on the same date. Each member is free to choose their own theme; participants rotate and/or combine themes as desired.
Joining in on the celebration is for all members (new and old) so please feel free to participate in the themes for others if you wish. If you are not a Vet yet and want your pic added to Celebrant's thread in the Veterans Forum, there is a Depot located in the Sandbox.
Once you get to the Sandbox, look for the celebrant's thread and follow instructions.

Therapy at the nursing homes & Hospital
School reading programs at 3 schools so far...now I have both certified, I get more calls , so I have to rotate the both of them.
Its nice, but sometimes hectic, LOL...Its good that most of my places are very close by...

Heh, thanks Kat. As it happens I did know that, but my main concern was trying to preserve both TH and at least some amount of flavour and vapor. The vodka seems to do pretty well at boosting a little of the flavour and TH even as it dilutes, and the VG helps restore vapor production and add a bit of sweetness, so the combination of the two works pretty well to let me cut the nic in half without cutting everything else in half.
Hi, Mindfireld. I' not sure why you're diluting, but whatever the reason, you can use old plain distilled water also. It will dilute the nic strength and the flavor, but it works fine. Up to 10-15% should be fine. In case you knew it, please disregard this unsolicited piece of advice.
