Good morning everyone! I've received 2 pm's, one from my friend TomCatt, and the other from my friend JustAGuy (thanks to both!) telling me I need to hop on over to this thread as I will celebrate 1 year here October 29th. =)
I was gone from ECF for about 5 months. (and WOW a lot has changed in that time!!) Initially, I was smoking and vaping and then put my Ego's away for "that day" when I would quit smoking all together. Well, it took some time, but that day finally came! August 31st was my first day without analogs. I toughed it out for about 2 and a half weeks armed with nothing but nicotine patches, but began to "miss the habit" I guess. Grabbed my bag of goodies that I'd put away, charged up my PV's and will not look back!!! So happy to be back and vaping is so much better now since I kicked those analogs to the curb. =)
Hey, I'm all about celebrating, so why not, but when I left here "tanks" were just being thought of, there was no such thing as EMDCC's, and WOW, I have a lot of catching up to do!!! lol So, I guess my point to all of this is that in some ways I still feel like a newbie, but my status will say VET.....and that's pretty cool!!!

That's quite a story - good for you for picking vaping back up and being done with the cigs! And yes, 5 months is a long time around here - everything changes so very quickly with vaping stuffs. But you'll get back in the groove in no time!

For those starting Welcome and Sandbox threads: They should be started EARLY morning the day before. If that is not possible, the night before.
Welcome to the ECF Pre-Vet thread!
A Pre-Vet is an ECF member that is about to have their status "Turn" to ECF-Veteran on or about the anniversary of their ECF sign up. You also need anywhere from 70 and 75 post.
This thread is where you can hang out (courtesy of Whiskey creating this thread) and celebrate becoming an ECF-Veteran with other ECF members. You have the option (but not the obligation) to have an Avatar Theme Celebration on your turning day. You select a theme, and many of the group here will help celebrate by changing their avatars. Kind of an avatar costume party. You'll also get a bunch of congrats and a welcome thread created in a sub-forum for vets that pre-vets can't even see yet. If you want to have an avatar theme, start thinking about it!
We will not turn away last minute request, but please try to give us enough advanced notice so we can dig something up for pics. Two weeks prior to your turning date would be awesome.
We try to limit scheduling to the current and the following month.
If you are a pre-veteran and want a welcome thread in the Veteran's Forum and or an avatar theme for your turning day please do the following: Post in this thread and PM me your request.
This thread moves fast so as a final safeguard double check the list that is posted here several times a day sometime before your turning day.

We do our best to accommodate multiple members turning on the same date. Each member is free to choose their own theme; participants rotate and/or combine themes as desired.
Joining in on the celebration is for all members (new and old) so please feel free to participate in the themes for others if you wish. If you are not a Vet yet and want your pic added to Celebrant's thread in the Veterans Forum, there is a Depot located in the Sandbox.
Once you get to the Sandbox, look for the celebrant's thread and follow instructions.
