Ugh, my modem died early last summer, Pokey, plus a squirrel had chewed into the cable line on the telephone pole.
Some unidentified bugs had moved into my junction box, so says the phone company. Earlier this year I cut the land line and went voip, but I'm still in danger of squirrels.
There, there. Hugs with humor. Would you do it if you ran into this guy?

Almost everything in between too, rock, country, bossa nova, Latin, show tunes, etc. I can't get into rap though.

Oddly enough, my VOiP continued to work - until I called the help desk. While talking to them, it died mid-conversation.
They killed my modem from afar. I know they did.

How did you know? Actually, I do, nearsighted. If you walk 10 steps from me, you get fuzzy, or maybe I get fuzzy.

It doesn't take that much for voip, may drop a little, but all you need is half mbps.
I've got to keep the trees trimmed and the squirrels away. Got a microwave radio connection.
I refuse to wear bi-focals, but I can see closeup and read ok, without glasses. I just need them for distance.

I'm supposed to be on it too, but felt like I was looking out a fishbowl with progressives, so went back to single vision. You should see me trying to read around my glasses.
They tell me it's radio. I live in a rural area, no DSL, no cable. It was either satellite or this and satellite is supposed to suck. It has to be in line of sight and the transmitters pointed at each other's general direction. Once it's up though, solid, no weather problems.
