You're right.
We acquired a peacock several years ago. Just showed up....just like all the other strays that seem to have a GPS to find us. Some time later after being woke up at all hrs of the night and him not staying off vehicles, etc hubby loaded him up and took him to the land fill a few miles north of us. He had a great time wandering around there.......
