Very nice! No more scary eyes, whoo hoo! In honor of your avi...I wrote this a while back.
47. Purple
Its not blue; its not red,
but two equal lovers sharing a bed,
half of him and half of her,
half ecstasy, half dread.
More maudlin than mundane mauve,
more ostentatious than ordinary orchid,
more pomp than plump, perfect plum,
but not as vigorous as violent violet,
more amorous than affluent amethyst,
more luscious than livid lavender,
more lyrical than lilting lilac,
royal purple is seldom conquered.
Its sun-splashed skies in orphaned twilight.
Its blood-splattered pavement left to dry.
Its the color that must be right - and wrong.
Its purple the minds hurdle.
