For those starting Welcome and Sandbox threads: They should be started EARLY morning the day before. If that is not possible, the night before.


Welcome to the ECF Pre-Vet thread!

This thread was started by ECF member Whiskey and soon turned into a thread where members can celebrate obtaining their ECF veteran's status.
Besides celebrating this milestone day on this thread, we schedule the events and keep a schedule list.

Oh, that's not a modern artist. It's from 1907-08. One of my favorite pieces of all time. It's called "The Kiss" and it's by Gustav Klimt. I have a print of it in my house.

1900? See, I stopped just before that. I have Monet and Renoir in my house...the originals of course.



I'm really into the impressionists. Rembrandt was nice too.

I like VanGogh a lot. Saw an exhibition of his at the Met in NY a few years ago. It was amazing. Just went to the Picasso exhibit that was here not too long ago. That dude was whack!

Yup, that's about where I drew the line, the later impressionists. Picasso was abstract and modern, whacked as you said, but I think he did capture the chaos of the Spanish bombing well.

You see Tibs, the forum is now coded to not accept animated Avatars & Banners...to un-do a code you have to go in & change this around for an individual member & also the forum has to recognise which IP to be coded to allow
it for..this takes time, so they shy away from having to do all that~
