I've had cats that did that before. My last cat got bitten by a rattlesnake...didn't make it.

Oh that's awful. So sorry.
Mine got bitten by something once. Don't know what it was but he had a huge abscess on his hind leg. I try not to let him out but dang he can just get by me sometimes.
