Question Atty. The router draws it's power from your internet conection? My connection isn't the best to begin with and it was horrid with the router hooked up. I just disconnected it.

No... it usually has a separate power cord to the router........ Have a link to make/model? You don't want to be connected to the internet directly. You'll probably get hacked (eventually). Use the router......

I got to open one of my gifts early...Mine is the 6.4 volt version...my first HV PV...wow I'm making myself dizzy..This thing VAPES!!!

The router shouldn't have much if any effect on your speed. IDK what your question is about "drawing power from the internet"... but it should be plugged into the wall power.

Plug it in. Use it. It has a firewall built in. Otherwise you're basically plugging your computer directly into the internet and saying "please hack me".

Atty my computer slowed dowm to dial-up speed or worse with the router hooked up. I had it plugged into the strip with everything else.

Good morning everyone. Happy Christmas Eve!!! I arrived at my mom's house yesterday afternoon and had a fabulous dinner last night. Mmmm. Nothing like mom's home cooking. Crazy sister has not yet made an appearance. I'm sure I will be seeing her later on today. Going to Church later this morning with the fam. Chillin for now. Enjoying my PV in a totally non-smoking house!
