Well...all this talk about quitting Pre-Vets...I think I will too.
I have supported this since the beginning...was asked to become part of the committee almost 2 years ago when we only did welcome threads.
I've tried to keep peace in the last turmoil...and in this one, I love Pre-Vets.
Most of us are members of several forums...You really find out what people are really like.
I see and read what gets posted.
It gets old, but I've ignored it...till now
And really...after this...I won't fight for this thread anymore :

So one guy gives you a hard time on NV and you get mad at the rest of us? Classy, you've been one of the bright spots here.
However, it is not uncommon for shell-shocked people to react. Something like this hits you like "BOOM" without warning. None of the admin group, at least, should be surprised at the reaction. IDK if you had advanced warning and I'm not asking. But... those that knew it was moving should not be surprised in the least at the shock. In fact, I'd wonder if it wasn't anticipated/expected.
Atty, it wasn't a guy...it was the person who is the reason that I was trying to keep this thread together for.
classy, all i know is i did not post this and i'm pretty sure neither did it come from one of our team. so why would you bring it here? we've had problems and we tried to overcome them to show how much of a community ecf can be.
i will not extend the amount of time this thread needs for something in the lounge. i really thought we were working to the benefit of ecf and its members and deserved to be a part of general .....
Yeah classy one. Guy or gal, whomever. The thread is the thread. It's purpose is still to celebrate milestones and encourage people. IDK why a post on another forum is bothering you. I'd quit that forum if they allow that crap.

Just for the record, Classy, I"m not and never have been a member of any other forum. I don't know what you're referring to, who posted what and where--and I'm not interested. I only care about what is going on here because ECF has been my home since February 2010 when I joined, or, actually, since I started reading it in December of 2009...
We all feel that the thread should have been left alone for the remainder of the year--three and half months... Everybody involved knew perfectly well that PVT in its present form was going to be closed in December after the contests.
I don't venture out to other forums, I love being a part of something different and unique. The new vet gets to celebrate their one year, our reward was seeing that title change and sharing in that moment. Most people can't imagine going one month, one day, some one hour without smoking, so to reach a year, an entire year, 365 days on the forum was/is a big deal.
I'm not saying that classy. But it sounded like a post on another forum got you mad at us. We still 
you. If you decide to quit or not.
I guess I never considered the fact that being a moderator gets you beat up and that the PVT could add to that. Sorry if that is so. Exactly opposite of what we all want.
So if you quit, you quit. We thank you for all your help. I hope you'll stay and help. But then again, IDK how many people are left ATM. I have to give this all time to shake out.
