I'm copping the photo from the website but when I try to paste the URL in tinypic, I can't

tinypic has a 'radio button' selection for using a URL; but lately I occasionally get an error when trying to do this. If it's a good pic and I want to use tinypic, I'll save the pic to my computer and then upload to tinypic.

The other thing splinter.... is you don't always need to copy them. Depends on what you personally want to do. Sometimes sites have an "IMG code" that you can copy to include the pic and it comes with a reference to their site (like advertising kinda...click to see more from ___). Other times, you can right click on a pick and select the "Copy Image Location". Then use that same dialog box you were using, but use the URL tab. Paste the url (Image Location) that you copied into that box and uncheck the little checkbox (because the file probably exceeds ECF's size limitations).

All it does is type something like this

I clicked on many pictures from the web and I can't find anything that says copy image location. All I get is copy. I click on the pictures so they popped up in a window and still nothing. Am I missing something?

You RIGHT-Clicked, yes? Some sites block it. Like I said, they don't like it. Others don't mind. And I don't know an easy way to tell the difference. Also, it strikes me as funny that they'd let you load a whole page with all sorts of stuff (and probably a lot more bandwidth) but not want you to link to a single image... that they allow to be posted on the web. So I try to be respectful and also often give a reference in text to where it came from if I think it's a cool site and I think of it.

Do whatever works for you. Some think copying them is worse than linking to them. Particularly the "artsy" types that publish work on the net but don't expect anyone to copy it (duh). Many have water marks in them.. (smart if they are protecting some original work... but a lot of sites just watermark everything and they don't even own it...they copied it. lol.)

hiya! you have to copy the url of where the pic is hosted! ;)

then click the image icon, paste the url in the url box and UNcheck host locally!
