You RIGHT-Clicked, yes? Some sites block it. Like I said, they don't like it. Others don't mind. And I don't know an easy way to tell the difference. Also, it strikes me as funny that they'd let you load a whole page with all sorts of stuff (and probably a lot more bandwidth) but not want you to link to a single image... that they allow to be posted on the web. So I try to be respectful and also often give a reference in text to where it came from if I think it's a cool site and I think of it.

Do whatever works for you. Some think copying them is worse than linking to them. Particularly the "artsy" types that publish work on the net but don't expect anyone to copy it (duh). Many have water marks in them.. (smart if they are protecting some original work... but a lot of sites just watermark everything and they don't even own it...they copied it. lol.)

I'm so sorry Atty . I'm trying but I can't seem to find what you are talking about . I'm going to stick with what is working for me right now unless my husband can figure it out for me.

Thank You so much Meg . As long as I'm able to get them to work this way and they can be moved then I'll just keep doing this. I don't mind taking extra steps if it's going to be able to be moved. I just want to make sure the new vets will be able to go back to their thread in years from now and still see what I posted

if that is your purpose then you need to host on tinypic! if you hotlink, where allowed, there is no guarantee the url won't change next week.
to post here, hotlinking is fine since very few will dig through this thread months from now

then click the image icon, paste the url in the url box and UNcheck host locally!

Hi Tib .... I just did that and it worked. Now I just have to see if it works when it;s moved. If it does, that is much easier
