Prefer sub ohm?

Just was wondering what peoples thought on sub ohm vaping was. I personally prefer it to most other choices, but it isnt always a great choice with all flavors. I also find that sub ohm can trap vapor in the lungs due to the large volume of vapor which makes breathing heavy for a short period. All in all I find sub ohm to have the vapor and less heat (to an extent) has the flavor.

I love it, but as with most tastes, it's up to the user. I know several people who prefer variable voltage mods/tank systems instead. I don't do really low sub-ohm vaping, but I've found that somewhere around 0.5-0.9 is usually pretty good for my personal taste. Once I went to dripping, I found it was virtually impossible for me to go back to anything else, ha ha. I don't really like a warm vape, and the drip tip that I have also really helps cool down the vapor before it hits me. The Pileus....it's' amazing! :)

dont do subohm.... my SVD wont let me ;)

Mine does I have been as low as .7 on my SVD. I prefer 1.2 -1.5 I get lots of vapor and very good flavor. I also have the VTR and it will go as low as .8 both tested on my fluke meter and both show exactly the same on the mods. I'm running at 12Watts/ 4.5 volts I like a slightly warm vape and I get just a small amount of warmth at the end of my inhale Perfect for me.

I generally drip dual coils at .5-.6 total Ω with .6 flat wire nano coils on cotton. I just find it super easy to deal with.

Aren't discussions about total Ω a bit lacking without number of coils? I'm guessing the guys running a .2-.4Ω aren't doing off a single coil... correct? (or are you?...DOH!).. or is that single coil twisted, etc... I mean, so many variables its hard to really see what people's TRUE preferences are simply based off total Ω.

I'm certainly curious about those running below .5Ω... i.e. are you running quad coils? twisted duals?...etc..etc.. what wick materials you're using to keep up, etc..etc..

I vape around 0.5-0.6 ohms with Genis and drippers. My favorite dripper is a dual coil Trident at 0.5 ohms total. Around 0.9 ohms with a Kayfun. All these on mechanical mods. I also have regular gear for stealth, convenience when I'm out and backup.

There are a couple of things in play for me here. I like the combination of quick vapor, lots of vapor and lots of flavor that high power setups give. There's just no way of getting that combination of performance with less power. You don't have to go sub-ohm to get that though. You can use a high powered regulated mod too at slightly higher ohms. I don't think you want to go too high because other things change will will not allow you to go that high in power.

I've never experienced any change in breathing after taking a hit at 25 watts. I do not however take long inhales. Typical for me is around 1 1/2 - 2 seconds. Works for me, but it is a personal thing :)

I've settled on .93-.95 ohms with my drippers, with Sony VTC4's and 5's. Nemesis or Sentinel M16 mods, Patriot/IGO'S RDA's.

Seems to give me the best flavor with my preferred juices, with great amounts of vapor and batteries last a good long time.

You said it my friend. Love the Patriot between .7 and .9 it's such a sweet spot. It's the best vape for me but the least travel friendly so the Fogger comes with me out and about and the drippers stay at home and work.

.78ohm build on a Patriot with organic cotton and the coils spread just enough and the coils nicely off the bottom with pleanty of room to breathe. It is bliss. 5 wraps of 30 gage each side on a 2mm precision bit.
