As already mentioned, the VTR is capable of sub-ohming as are other vv/vw mods.

I run a 0.8ohm coil on a mech using a 18350 battery. Its just within the cell's operational limits and thus I change batteries frequently.
The advantages are very fast heat up time and a nice warm vape. There is no discernible difference when run on my VTR.

Learn your electrical safety practices, stay within your battery's operational limits and use a meter to check your builds.
Buy quality batteries designed for high discharge rate and look after them.

Oh, and don't heat your battery with a blowtorch, especially while vaping....!!

Sub ohm is so 2012, our understanding of how coils work has moved past that. Only those stuck in the time warp still use sub ohm.
It's simply unsafe and unnecessary.

Care to expand on that?

I'm genuinely interested.

0.8 ohms in my russian on a mech vapes way better than 1.5 ohms on the same set up. Sure, I can throw a kick in there and halve the battery life...
