My evod crapped out after about 2wks of daily use - just stopped working all of a sudden. Although... when I first got them (got some MT3's as well) I filled them with PGA (EverClear) and let them soak for about an hr or so then carefully filled w/water to rinse out and just carefully dry burned prior to filling. There's really no need to clean them out because the disposable wick refills are really inexpensive. Just get a couple of the 5 packs and you're set for a least a couple mths of chain vaping!! I seriously feel like I'm cheating on VV since I vowed to never go anywhere else to get my vaping supplies, but I had to due to supply shortages!

Desert... I tried the nano's you mentioned. Even though I soaked in PGA initially... I just can't get past the horrible primer taste. Yuk! I'm sooo glad I only ordered 2 of them. The idea is great but the primer is just too much and after 3 refills and a lot of wasting by spraying into the air, I've decided they're just not for me (especially since the flavor in the evod's is just so much tastier... even more so than my VN's!)

What is the initial verdict of the ProTank?

Hi Sunshyne!! Where ya been?
I'd say 2 weeks on a coil would be pretty darn good compared to my V3's. I was just curious if anyone was washing & dry burning or cleaning by any other methods. I know the coil heads are inexpensive but they are on the V3's & Nova's as well...I still clean them when they get nasty & only replace upon extreme nasty or total death :)

I just said the same thing in another post...I too feel like a traitor buying hardware elsewhere but there nothing wrong with Annette being famous for her amazing juice. I hear that she is perhaps going to expand her hardware line (including the Nano). That must be costly with minimum lot orders from manufactures but it sure would be nice to one stop shop wouldn't it? One shop can't have everything, everyone loves. :)

I am loving my EVOD's too and as soon as my horrid cold & sore throat pass I can't wait to load a Pillow Dreams tank...I put the bottle away for now. Thank you again!

Kitty said she had a primer taste in hers for a just a bit but it passed...I never noticed. I bought 20 of them after I tried them. I love them for sampling since they are so cheap. I have 5 loaded with a few flavors that I rotate in during the day...just a few puffs here & there. Not ONE has died yet. They are all still vaping very strong...a few have them have even been washed out with hot water so I could change flavor...still going strong. I am quite impressed with the disposable little buggers.

Bad cold so I haven't loaded mine yet either. Very cool looking but larger & heavier then I expected. I am excited to try it....totally impressed by Kanger's product line. I am leaving my V3's behind for good & going EVOD. Just ordered 10 more today (colors for flavors)

The EVODs clean like other attys, just be careful with the extra uncoiled wicks (on top of the coiled wick) that you don't lose them when you take the vent tube off. Other bottom coils (T3, VapeOnly) have these extra wicks too. Also, verify the head is screwed in all the way into the base before reassembling. It can come lose when you unscrew the base.

I'm curious if anyone finds their EVODs leak. Mine worked fine for about 9 tankfuls and now leaks a bit. After letting it stand for a few days I find a small puddle under it. I keep going back to the top coils since they never leak and I seem to prefer a warmer vape. I read somewhere replacing the thin extra wicks in a bottom coil with a single 3 mm wick helps stop the leaks and gurgling but I haven't tried this yet.

I believe leaks (and gurgling) can happen because the VV 100% VG juice is diluted with water and thus is actually thinner than many PG/VG blends. Thinner juice wicks faster than thicker juice. On the other hand, people that vape thick undiluted VG juices have to remove some of the extra wicks or they get dry hits, ie. thicker juice under-wicks, thinner juice over-wicks. The extra wicks are there to allow this form of juice flow control.

In any case, please let us know if you get gurgling/leaking with EVOD or any other bottom coil.

I do get a slight gurgling on my EVOD but it isn't a bother & it has never leaked on me so far.

I loaded up my Protank last night & used it last night & this morning. I love this thing. It is like have an advanced, sleek looking EVOD that holds more juice. I have had no issues with leaks at all & flavor + vapor production is great. I will definitely be picking a couple more of these up down the road to have multiple flavors to change out...honestly don't see myself buying more than the 3 EVODs that I have after trying this. This is the perfect tank for trying out sample bottles of juice from VV as it takes almost the entire vial. These, coupled with my 7ml Sidewinder are going to be my primary vaping gear from here on out.

No leaking on my EVOD yet either...it has only been 4 days though....about 2-3 fills a day. I can not see ever going back to my V3's but time will tell...

I just ordered more EVOD's this morning....I like to have several clearos filled with my different flavors so can just grab to rotate taste throughout the day :) My all day vape..Crème Caramel, rotation vapes KVM, Vanilla Latte, Wht Choc Raspberry & now Pillow Dreams has hit my fav list too...

May just try my ProTank tonight over cocktails on the patio :)
Have a great weekend!

I haven't cleaned out my evod yet because it just randomly died, but I have just cleaned the t3/mt3 coil head which is very similar to the evod and wow did it take a long time till I could finally see the coils! I've spent 10 min plus cleaning the wicks on my VN's till they were completely clean like new and the one (mt3) I cleaned last night took about 10-15 min to get clean. Crazy! It's difficult to see the glowing wires inside, so you really need to be in low lighting to be able to see the coils inside the tube. Other than that, I just think you need a twist so you can crank it up to at least 4.4 or higher to be able to burn off the crud in a reasonable amount of time!! A good rule on the evod's is to try to keep the juice levels at about 1/3 or more (similar to what you should do with the VN) to keep it working well and not leak out the bottom or get thick and funky!! Other than that... I love em and am happy I found them to appreciate more of my VV flavors!!

Cyprus... It's great to hear you like the ProTank. I should get mine either tomorrow or Mon and I can't wait! I really want to make my clean, pure VV juices as clean and pure as possible and I think the glass/pyrex is going to really help.

Desert... you gotta try out your ProTank this wknd! I'm sooo happy that you love the Pillow Dreams too! Glad I could be somewhat of a help in encouraging you to try flavors you didn't think you'd like!!! Now you just need to try the Black Cherry Marshmallow so you can mix it with the Original Sin and also mix it with the Amaretto... sooo tasty!!

Thanks so much Sunshyne for the cleaning info...mine doesn't seem to need it yet but I really wanted input from others on what worked for them!

It's been awhile since I tried the black cherry marshmallow...good idea!

Negatory on the apple...not into fruit vapes at all....strawberry shortcake & wht chocolate raspberry are the exceptions :) hated the bella....I found it really perfumey tasting...

That's right on the money. My leaking evod had only a bit of juice. I filled the leaking EVOD and it doesn't leak anymore. But that only gives you a useable capacity of about 1ml which is a pain to be refilling when I chain vape. So I just ordered the ProTank :) and will post my experience with it soon.

Surprise... vapemail today! Got my ProTank and another evod and replaceable coils.

Ok... soaked them all in PGA for about an hour (wick heads - 20 min), made sure to use a qtip to clean out the tube in the tank (it had a dark buildup of something even after soaking). Dry burned all the wicks (it takes awhile for wet wicks!) and filled em up. Yay! I'm really liking the ProTank so far! I'll have to update after a few days.

Someone said the ProTank is really big but it's actually a tad smaller than the original VN, it is pretty heavy though. I was concerned it was gonna be oddly large! Oh... it comes very nicely packaged (jewelry type box) and has an included adaptor to fit around the battery threads. Note that the adaptor doesn't fit on the ego twist battery threads. Yay, the flavor is great and it makes huge vape clouds! Also happy to get to use my evod filled w/apple and blk cherry marshmalow again now that I got new coil wick heads. Sunday is gonna be a fun VV vape day!

Hubby& I have both the Pro Tank & the EVOD...head on the pro has a longer air tube...may have to test that...they look similar otherwise.

I just got several EVOD heads Saturday....thank heavens...they don't clean well & I had terrible flooding issues out of the blue. I loved that thing too!

Try, try again (after mom leaves :)

I think my local vape hardware shop is getting the Protank in this week. I'm definitely going to order an Evod but not sure about the tank. What ohm coil heads do you all use on them? I've read that the Evod heads are good on the Protank too. Anyone tried?
They only have the 2.5ohm heads available for the Protank so far...but you can use EVOD heads with a little modification. I am not 100% sure which thread it was confirmed on, but several people have done so successfully. I use a Provari so I am fine with the 2.5 myself.

Desert... your evod's usually only flood if your juice level is too low, if it's screwed too tightly to your battery or the coil head has started coming unscrewed from the base. I'm finding i'm checking often to make sure it's still screwed tightly cuz i've had all three issues happen already...go figure! Love em too much though! Mine have cleaned and dry burned really well.... it just takes a long time and really lessens the remaining life. Gotta question if it's sometimes worth it given the relatively low price for replacements!

I really hope Annette can sell the Kanger products! I think Vision lost some footing during their end of year holidays and lack of supply and a whole lot of people are making a move to the evod's, mt3's and ProTanks! My VN's are lonely (and I was very pro VN) but all my new Kanger components are happy which means Sunshyne's happy too! I just love tasting more of the true flavors that we've come to VV for in the first place!!

My hardware supplier finally got the ProTanks in (boxed & cheaper then the "gift box" that I got) Her comment section says the EVOD heas do work but give a more "airy" vape. I have both tanks & heads....the air tube on the EVOD is shorter then on the ProTank but this is handy to know!

Read her comment here.
