I have a single coil right now in a Dark Horse rda. 28g kanthal, 2mm diameter, it's like 1.1ohm. I used rayon, but had some serious trouble trying to get it through the coil. I did the best that I could, and my hits seem dry, and I frequently am putting more juice on, probably more than I should be. Only can really taste it well with the first 2 hits. Using 12 watts on an MVP 20w. I don't know if I should just build another coil with 28g, into 3mm, considering I can't go below sub ohm, so It would have to be wrapped like 4 times, which I don't even know if people do that lol.
Hey Chesea. It is really, really hard to predict the resistance result on an open (spaced) wind. I recommend using strain to give them shape as crafts winders use to make hoop rings. Posted two links above where I contributed the technique. If you want to learn the difference between open and contact coils you can do winds using screws in a pin vise to provide for uniform spacing. Contact coils need to be pulsed to oxidize them so they don't short. If not done well they essentially do short and result in a very dry hot vape.

will help you determine the resistance (temperature) you want to shoot for.
Chelsae, the MPV has enough power to give you a decent vape. Try a single first to make sure you have your wind consistent. Getting the density right on rayon's tough. Cotton not much easier. Both a challenge into small diameters. The 2mm is a bit light for a dripper on a reg device. If you can find a 3/32" miniature screw driver (or have a pin vise), you'll get…
28x1 7/6 2.38mm @ 1.2145Ω
You'll be able to look-up the performance for the MVP on the Mod Range tab there. The MVP will yield a full range power with a wind between 1.0-2.81Ω. With my suggestion you'll be using a bit more batt power but the additional wicking should allow you some pretty dense production. Then you can adjust your airflow to suit your tastes.
(Personally I think the atty is overkill for an MVP. Something like an iGo-W with a nice thick walled cap will give you awesome output on that PV. A bit warmer with a Delrin cap if you like that.)
Pipe in anytime on any of the above threads for more help. Those are rebuilding discussions.
Best of luck.
