Prejudice against vaping

I haven't really experienced any prejudice yet but I only really vape in places I would've smoked. I do get a lot of looks though like I am an alien (but I think those were happening before I quit). My wife on the other hand has already converted a few smokers to vaping...exclusively.

Removing the uninformed/misled fears about second hand vapour, what is there not to like about vaping?

Clouds of vapour; some slight smell (depends on flavour); noise - crackling/popping?

I think tobacco has "jumped the shark".
It is very "yesterday". People just don't know it yet.
Vaping is "today" and is the future.

This e-cig invention is a "miracle" for mankind. All the naysayers are just unable to deal with it.
World leaders, governments, and ignorance can deny this all they want. Money related or not.
All that matters is that in the meantime, millions of lives are saved. Thank God!

Here are a few things to consider that Ive noticed. First off, this is a simple method to deliver nicotine, and because there is a cloud of vapor, you will not be able to convince those who don't like vaping that its different than smoking. I don't vape anywhere inside or around people. I like full inhales and enjoy chucking clouds, but not to impress myself or anyone else. I simply enjoy it. I cloud of vapor can be thicker and much much larger than the exhale from a cigarette, and this also seems to spook people. Also, vapor hangs lower and longer than smoke. This too seems to justify objections. I personally feel responsible to not blow large obnoxious clouds where it will draw attention and form negative opinions on vaping. This is not because I don't feel I should be able to, I wont blow large clouds around smokers in smoking areas. If I were using a tank and twist battery with over the counter coils, I wouldn't be much concerned, but I use a mech and dripper. Out of respect for others, I don't make an a## out of myself and give vaping a bad name. I wish other vaper who use the kind of equipment that can produce fog would show some class and at least let the vapor out slowly and act like a vampire. Im kidding.

I'm pretty sure the same person would not react the same way if you came to your meeting with the flu or a cold. The chance of such a case would definitely affect other people around you in a more immediate way of others getting whatever it is you're bringing to the meeting.

But, if you did show up to a meeting while you're sick you would not be looked down upon, on the contrary, you would be given a badge of honor for showing up and not staying home.

Most people just don't use their common sense, if they have any.

Yeah if they really don't like the second hand smoke and passive vaping that much they should be out there trying to get coal plants shut down and all cars switched to safer alternatives. You probably get just as much bad stuff in your lungs from just walking outside, especially in big cities where you can see the smog.

I have found after a couple of years of vaping and cutting the nic down to 3 mg that I can go long periods of time without vaping .. At work I just do it so I will have something to do at breaktime. Now at home I vape a lot but thats out of boredom.

If I am out shopping or school events with my kids I don't even think about it. I love that part of it. Before when I was smoking I dreaded these times cause I was constantly worried where I could smoke.

I'm able to vape at work, on a large shop floor. A brother who lives with me doesn't care if I vape in the house or the car. This has been a big help. I started vaping 7 weeks ago let my cigs run out last wednesday and feel no need to pick up a pack. I'm starting to think about making vaping more optional.

The huge bums rush against vaping is about the tax money. A lot of things will change painfully for governments and the banks that lend them money if tobacco sales go into free fall. It's always the money you borrowed that bites you in the ..... So they want to go slow, really really sloooow. Follow the money.
